Since 1995 we have been working to improve communication among young writers, critics, theoreticians and publishers in Europe, and development of the literary life in Croatia.

PONTES FESTIVAL
For twelve years Pontes organizes International literary festival Pontes. Participants are writers, critics, publishers and theoretics from twenty three (until now) European countries.
The festival takes place each year on the island of Krk, during the end of August.
The Twelveth International Literary Festival Pontes 2007 (program) will take place in the city of Krk (www.grad-krk.hr), August 25 - September 1, 2006.

FESTIVAL’S CENTRAL TOPIC
This year the festrival has been organized on central topic of Book Life – form cultural context to author’s, editor’s, publisher’s, distributer’s and bookseler’s role.

SECOND SUMMER BOOK SCHOOL
Beginning with last year Pontes is developing a Summer BOOK School. Morning lectures, work on texts and evening talks with writers will last for six days, and then the closing evening with readings and talks on literature will take place. This year the workshops will be only in Croatian language. In coming years some international workshops will take place, too.
